Simon Forsting, a summer research undergraduate presents his poster investigating Pitch Onset Response at the SIREN/NURO poster session. It was a joy to have Simon in the lab this summer!
Carrie has successfully received an F32 grant from the NIH to study interactions of space and time in auditory scenes! Congratulations Carrie!
We are excited to welcome Tess, Simon and Sophia to the lab!
Tess is a recent graduate from Rhodes College and is joining the lab as a Post Bac RA.
Simon is a undergraduate from Centre College. Simon will be in the lab for the summer as part of SIREN/NURO.
Sophia is an undergraduate from Rochester Institute of Technology. Sophia will be joining us in the lab for the Fall 2024 semester!
Carrie presented a poster at the Midwinter meeting of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology in Anaheim, CA. The poster described her ongoing project using the auditory kappa effect to understand how factors like pitch and space influence perception of relative timing in auditory sequences. More details on this project can be found in the research tab. Great job, Carrie!
Jackson presented a poster at the Midwinter meeting of the Association for Research in Otolaryngology in Anaheim, CA. The poster described his ongoing project using rate-place metamers for understanding how the auditory system processes stimuli with multiple pitches, such as musical chords. More details on this project can be found in the research tab. Great job, Jackson!
Jackson is awarded the ARO 2024 MidWinter Meeting Travel Award. Congratulations, Jackson!
Carrie has succesfully renewed her NIH Postdoctoral T32 fellowship for a second year of postdoctoral research! Congratulations, Carrie!
Deshaun Omane, a summer research undergraduate in the lab presents his research mentored by Carrie at the SIREN/NURO poster session. We were lucky to have Deshaun in the lab this summer! Great job, Deshaun and Carrie!
The lab goes for a tour of the Bell Tower to celebrate Ian as he heads to Case Western for graduate school. Congratulations Ian and good luck!
